Statue of St Ubaldo
Audioguide (44) This large roadside shrine was built in 1761 to commemorate the 600th anniversary of the death of the Patron Saint. The stone statue, made a few years later, is a partial replica of Bernini’s statue of the Saint on the Colonnade of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. Opposite, on the corner with Via Dante, is The Holy Trinity Church, which originally belonged to the Augustinian Order of Flagellants and was dedicated to Saints Victor and Vittorino. The Poor Clare nuns of The Holy Trinity were moved there in 1502 and the interior was completely transformed in 1749.
