The “Abondanza” Bridges

These three bridges were part of a system of internal connections serving the group of buildings known as “L’Abbondanza” located in a district of the town along the banks of the Camignano torrent between the market-place and St. Martin’s bridge. Gubbio’s grain store was here and so too were the watermill for grinding corn and the town’s two bakeries.
