Mausoleum of "Pomponio Grecino”
Audioguide (55) This Roman funeral monument is traditionally identified as that of Pomponio Grecino, prefect of Iguvium.
All that remains of it is the big, external, circular mound of cement conglomerate, while the internal decoration which originally rose up from the limestone base has disappeared. The funeral chamber is square and has a barrel-vaulted roof. It dates back to the 1st c. B.C.
