Originally the castle was the stronghold of the Counts of Coccorano. In 1356, the Roman Church made a gift of the estate of the jurist Biscina Perugia Baldo degli Ubaldi, in 1383 it became the property of the Counts Gabrielli of Gubbio and the early fifteenth century the castle came under the jurisdiction of Montefeltro. After various historical events, the Castle of Biscina was owned by the Counts of the Gate of Gubbio 1570-1930.
