From Gubbio to Mount Cucco
From Gubbio proceeding the road that goes beyond the clutches of Bottaccione you come to the mountain pass of the Madonna della Cima descending and you get to Scheggia. Continuing towards the south, follow Costacciaro to reach the Monte Cucco (m 1566). Going from coniferous forests to the pastures where you can admire a beautiful landscape of the plateau of the mountains of Gubbio and Gualdo. After 5 km you go for the Seal of Ranco (m 1150) with extensive forests, meadows and springs.
The entrance to the cave is 1390 am overlooking the Fosso Cold Water.
